What makes Feast It stand out from other platforms you've used?

Feast It is the only platform I've used but the information I get is great and the clients I get, I'd never meet them any other way as most of my work comes from recommendations. So it’s really great for that.

What's been your favourite event through Feast It?

A wedding I did in the summer. It was a really special day as the lady who was getting married usually used a wheelchair, but didn't on her wedding day. I helped her get around for the day and it was a really lovely moment. It was one of the early post-lockdown weddings and it was really emotional. They left me a brilliant review saying I'd captured their memories. I was swept up in it all and it helps me get better photos when there's emotion.

What advice would you give to photographers joining Feast It?

Patience and perseverance. It took a while to get going but once it did there was work coming in regularly. The conversion rate was low at first but the more I quote, the more I get jobs. You've got to put the effort in.

What's your key take away from running a business through and out of a pandemic?

I had to diversify the work I was doing into things I could do from home. I turned to web design and even helped the National Trust create a wallpaper collection! It was an investment to learn new skills during that time that I now use in my photography.

What are your plans for 2022?

It’s still a little early to say but in terms of weddings, they're looking really strong. Covid hasn't gone away so until we're sure what will happen with large events, it's difficult as a lot are being cancelled.
